SHEETMETAL TRADESMAN
Immediate start; Permanent position after trial period
7-00 to 3:30pm Mon – Thurs.
7 to 1:05pm Friday
Qualifications:
- qualified sheetmetal tradesman:
- Read and understand technical drawings
- Able to work with stainless, aluminium and steel products;
- MIG and TIG weld - have or be prepared to gain welding certificates
- Work with and train apprentices
- Work with minimal supervision
Responsible to sheetmetal supervisor;
Wide variety of interesting work and responsibilities;
Paricipate in Lean Manufacturing Program;

FITTER & MACHINIST TRADESMAN
Permanent position after trial period

Wide variety of jobbing work.
A versatile and experienced tradesman is required.
Ideal applicant should be a qualified Fitter & Machinist trades person and able to...
- read and understand technical drawings,
- experienced with ISO programming.
- Jobbing shop experience on 1 off and low volume work.
- able to setup, run and maintain machinery
- Flexible and able to use any other machinery as required e.g. slotters, grinders etc
- work with and train apprentices,
- work with minimal supervision.
Responsible to Workshop Supervisor.
Wide variety of work and responsibilities.

SHEETMETAL & FITTER & MACHINIST APPRENTICESHIP
Positions available every year. Applications required every September.
Four year apprenticeship available
Full time position, Mon – Fri, 1 day per week at TAFE
- Metal, Engineering and Associated Industries Award, 1998
- Interviews every year in September
- Start after HSC or school certificate completed as a casual on trial.
- All apprenticeships commence on 1st February each year.
Qualifications:
School certificate,
Previous work experience an advantage;
mechanical background as a hobby preferable
